World Championships in Calgary

Following a meeting of GAA Handball Ard Comhairle the qualification process for the Official Team Ireland for the 2015 World Championship has been confirmed. The World Championships take place in Calgary, Canada on 11th – 21stAugust, with full information available at 
GAA Handball will be sending a strong team comprising of the below grades, with qualification taking place over four showpiece events in the coming six months; Irish 4020 Senior Championship, Irish Junior Nationals, Irish World Senior Doubles Trials, & the Irish One-Wall Nationals.
40×20 Squad
Male and Female Open Singles (Team Captains – Winners of All Ireland 40×20 Singles)
Male and Female Open Doubles (Winners of Worlds Doubles Trials)
Male and Female 19&U Singles (Winner of 19&U Junior Nationals)
Male and Female 17&U Singles (Winner of 17&U Junior Nationals)
Male and Female 15&U Singles (Winner of 15&U Junior Nationals)
One Wall Squad
Male Open Singles & Female Open Singles (Winner of One Wall Nationals)
Male and Female 19&U Singles (Winner of 19&U One Wall Nationals)
The first spots on the squads will the official male and female team captains, with the winner of the prestigious All-Ireland 40×20 Championship being provided the honour of captaining their country in Calgary. That final is scheduled for Saturday 21st March with both the Mens & Ladies Finals taking place on the same programme.
