Saturday 26th September 2015

At St. Mary’s Wexford, (OIC Tony Breen 087 2060715) 2pm

ID Wexford (Mick Berry/Jim Berry) v Cavan (James Brady/Paul Brady)

The news that Paul Brady is taking part in the All Ireland 60×30 intermediate doubles championship has generated great excitement in Wexford and he and his cousin James are due at St. Mary’s today at 2pm to take on Mikie Berry and Jim Berry, Wexford in the All Ireland semi final.

The five times world 40×20 champion from Mullahoran in Cavan is a very welcome addition to the softball championship and competing at this second level of the code, he is likely to be very influential as far as the outcome of this match is concerned.

Notwithstanding the presence of the man most agree is ‘the greatest player of all time’ however,  the Wexford brothers go into this tie with realistic expectations having been impressive in both the county and provincial championships. The are battle hardened campaigners who know how to play softball and most importantly they know where the bottom of the wall is, when it comes to ending the rally.

A terrific match is in store.

Those attending the match are advised that parking in the lane up to the court at Emmet Place is strictly forbidden as it must be kept clear at all times.
