Congratulations to Dean O’Neill, Joe Devereux and David Doyle who took home both Boys U17 All Ireland titles on offer,  following their wins earlier today in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan.

In the Singles Final Dean, from the Ballymitty club, got off to a great start against his Monaghan opponent, Deveidas Kaklauskas, winning the first game 21-8. He was pushed all the way in the second game, but clinched the title on a 21-19 scoreline. In the Doubles Final, David and Joe, both Castlebridge, had a tough match against Niall McMahon and Daryl McGurren from Tyrone, but held their composure to clinch the win in two straight games 21-18, 21-16.

In the Girls U14 Singles Final Jodie Keeling from St Josephs lost out to Emma Kinane from Galway in two straight games. Jodie put in a great effort in the first game, but her Galway opponent was too strong on the day and closed the match out in the second game.
