Wexford website scoops Media Award at GAA Handball All Star Gala night

Wexford GAA Handball’s website www.gaahandballwexford.ie was officially recognized for its contribution to the sport when it scooped the prestigious Media Award at the annual GAA Handball All Star Awards held in the Cusack Suite, Croke Park last night.

Launched back on 17th July 2014, the website has become part of handballs staple daily diet, with people from all over the country and around the world checking in regularly in search of fixtures, updates and stories.  Since its inception the website has welcomed over 635,000 viewers and in the intervening years its popularity and relevance has not diminished in any way, with an average of 2000 per week clicking on the link.

As usual in a county where standing still is considered to be going backwards, the county committee is not resting on its laurels as far as the website is concerned and a newly upgraded version will be unveiled in the very near future.
