The first two members of the Wexford juvenile team taking part in the Leinster 60×30 championship went into action at Coolgreany tonight. Glen Murphy made a winning start at boys U13 singles with a comfortable win over a game Jamie Muddiman, Kildare while Lauren Flanagan found the very experienced Leah Doyle, Kildare a little too good for her in girls U14 singles.

Glen will be strongly fancied to win the Leinster title this year but will need to be at his very best to do so.

Lauren is a comparative newcomer to the game but has made giant strides since taking it up and will benefit from the experience of challenging one of the favourites for the All Ireland title.
On this performance she will win more than she will lose in the coming years.

The remainder of the team go into action on Saturday morning at Na Fianna, Dublin.
