Silver medal for Joshua Roche at the World Handball Championships

Joshua Roche from Castlebridge and Conor Doyle from Taghmon both performed brilliantly in faraway Minnesota, Minneapolis, where they were taking part in the boys under 11 singles Wall Ball event at the World Championships.

Joshua took out the number 2 seed along the way as he reached the final against top seed Gavin Kelly, Galway, while Conor pushed the aforementioned Kelly all the way in the semi final where he lost out in a tiebreaker. Both boys will now concentrate on the doubles where Joshua will team up with younger brother Charlie while Conor will join forces with Cian Dunning, Cork.
