Noel Holohan, Templeudigan (on right) who put on a terrific performance to defeat Benny Doyle, Horeswood 21-13, 21-17 in the Intermediate Singles final. Holohan came from 5-13 behind in the second to win going away. Junior B Doubles winners Keith Armstrong and Niall Maher, Kilmyshall with runners up Michéal Busher and Robert Byrne, Bridgetown. A marathon first two games left honours even before an inexplicable collapse by the Bridgetown men in the third saw the impressive Armstrong and Maher winners by 21-14, 16-21, 21-4 Sean Stanners, St. Martins (on left) was a worthy winner against Robert Doyle, St. Josephs in a high class Junior C Singles final. Stanners killed better when the opportunities arose and this was the deciding factor in his 21-15, 21-17 win. Sean Stanners slammed in the Junior C grade when he and brother James added the doubles title to that of the singles won earlier. The St. Martins duo recovered from a first game 20-21 loss to dominate thereafter in the 21-4, 21-14 win. David Stanners made it a championship to remember for his family and St. Martins club when he won the Junior D Singles title by defeating clubmate Paddy Curran 17-21, 21-13, 21-11. Stanners win is particularly noteworthy as he has only been playing the game for the past couple of years. Laurence Dunne and Alan Armstrong, Kilmyshall were impressive winners of the Junior D Doubles title. They beat Liam Rossiter and Enda Minogue, Ballyhogue 21-10, 21-13 Enda Minogue and Liam Rossiter, Ballyhogue, runners up in the Junior D Doubles championship
