Phil Coleman and Shane Rossiter maintain Masters title challenge

A brilliant performance when it was needed most proved sufficient for Phil Coleman and Shane Rossiter, Ballymitty at Bree last night as they overturned a recent loss to defeat heavily fancied St. Josephs pairing Robert Doyle and Mick Carty 21-12, 21-18 in a well contested county Masters B Doubles semi final.

After dominating the first game and taking it with a bit to spare, the strong Ballymitty pairing who have a terrific 60×30 record, fought back from a 9-1 deficit in the second to demonstrate their ‘small ball’ credentials in fine style. They will now face the unbeaten Damien Kelly and Ned Connors, Coolgreaney in the final.
