Murphy Brothers Bow Out at Semi-Final stage

There was no joy for Stephen and Brendan Murphy in their rearranged All Ireland Emerald B Doubles Semi-Final played in Coolgreany yesterday afternoon. The Castlebridge pair started well against their Limerick opponents Donal Hayes and Tim O’Shea, and built up an 11-7 lead. But the Limerick lads, both from the Cappagh club, got into their stride and with some strong serving and good all round play, they reeled off 14 aces to take the first game 21-11. The Limerick duo continued to keep the pressure on in the second game which they took 21-5, for a deserved victory.
