Memories from 2010: Wexford won GAA Showdown event, but will we ever see its like again?

Just a thought by AOB

Just over 10 years ago the GAA Handball Showdown took place at Croke Park with participants from hurling, football, camogie, ladies football and rounders joining the country’s top handballers for a special handball doubles event to mark the GAA 125 celebrations.

As the opening of our new National Handball Centre at Croke Park is by far the biggest event in the history of our great sport, wouldn’t it be great if some novel way could be found to bring all the right people together to celebrate this wonderful occasion?
