Well done to Mark Doyle and Conor Murphy who represented St. Fintans NS Taghmon, Wexford and Leinster in the Cumann na mBunscoil All Ireland under 13 doubles at Finals Day in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan yesterday. First they took on and beat the Ulster champions 15-6 15-6, then followed up with a 15-10, 15-12 win over Munster before finishing their campaign in terrific style with 15-8, 15-11 victory over Connacht.
This was a highly significant achievement by the Taghmon boys as both are still under 12 and therefore were giving away a year to many of their opponents in this under 13 event.
It what was a memorable day for the two boys, they also got to meet, greet and get photos with the top handballers in Ireland who were at the venue for the All Ireland senior singles semi finals. They then watched those matches before embarking on their triumphant journey back home to Taghmon.
Another mighty boost for Wexford juvenile handball!
