John Roche defeats Micheal Busher to retain junior singles title

John Roche, Castlebridge successfully retained his county junior singles title with a well deserved 21-12, 12-21, 21-13 win over Micheal Busher, Bridgetown at Castlebridge. Knowledge of his home court gave the champion a decided advantage in the early stages as he settled into his game very quickly to take the first game more comfortably than the score suggested. To his credit Busher, who entered the court as possibly a slight favourite, bounced back to take the second, but Roche got away again in the third to carve out a victory that maintained his winning sequence.
