Anthony Butler and Liam Rossiter brought the county junior B doubles title to Ballyhogue when they simply blew away the challenge of John Murphy and Stephen Murphy, Castlebridge in the final played at Castlebridge last week. The experienced ‘Bridge duo were expected to really put it up to their young challengers who had won All Ireland juvenile titles in recent years but it turned out to be a very one-sided encounter with the power of Rossiter and the consistency of Butler too much to handle as they coasted to a facile 21-4, 21-12 win.
Roche and Murphy did lead 11-4 in the second but when the afterburners were restored the end came very quickly.
