Gold for Wexford in Minnesota as Mark Doyle and Josh Kavanagh win Wall Ball boys 15 and under doubles

Mark Doyle, Taghmon and Josh Kavanagh, St. Josephs justified their top seeding in the boys 15 and under doubles Wall Ball event at the World Handball Championships in Minnesota, taking gold at the expense of Mikie Kelly and Rory Grace on a scoreline of 21-16, 21-14. The Galway and Tipperary duo had come together to form a formidable partnership for this championship and with Kelly having already taken the singles title they were on a high going into the doubles final. The Wexford boys had just come through a tough semi final but they rose to the challenge in magnificent fashion to bring home the winners medals. More could follow in the 4 wall championships which are just underway.
