Gavin Buggy to ref McCarthy v Kennedy clash at Croke Park Handball Centre on Saturday
While Wexford will not be represented on court in any of the three All Ireland finals at the GAA Handball Centre in Croke Park this coming Saturday the county will nonetheless have an important role to play in both the men’s and women’s senior softball singles finals. Marguerite Gore’s historic appointment to referee the womens final has been dealt with elsewhere on the website but for Gavin Buggy who will ref the men’s senior open singles decider between Robbie McCarthy, Westmeath and Eoin Kennedy, Dublin, it will be a task he will be very familiar with. The decorated Wexford handballer has proved himself to be one of the sports most efficient referees down through the years and has already officiated at many such occasions in the past.
