Gavin Buggy and Adam Walsh regain county senior doubles title with win over Galen Riordan and Peter Hughes

Gavin Buggy’s remarkable record in the county 4-wall (40×20) senior open doubles championship was further extended recently when he partnered St. Mary’s clubmate Adam Walsh to victory over Galen Riordan and Peter Hughes, Ballyhogue to win his 16th title. It was back in 1998 that he won his first and since then he has dominated this grade with a succession of different partners. His title wins include 5 with Colin Keeling 1998, 2000-2002, 2009, 1 with Paul Carty 2008, 2 with Tommy Hynes 2010-2011, 3 with Paul Lambert 2013, 2015-2016, 3 with Daniel Kavanagh 2014, 2017-2018 and now 2 with Adam Walsh 2019, 2023.
