County 4-wall league update Thursday: The plight of the table topper continues as only 2 from 6 survive semi final test to date

Finishing on top of the group continues to be a risky business in Wexford and after the first six of eleven divisional semi finals have been played in the county 4-wall league, only two players who will pick up Leading Qualifier medals have managed to survive.

Gavin Buggy (STY) D1, Terry Gainfort (CAB) D2, David Stanners (STM) D3 and Joe Devereux (CAB) D4 had dominated their divisions throughout the league stages of the competition, but now all four have been beaten at the semi final stage. It points to the resilience of others who may have settled initially for a place in the semi finals, but, having got there, are now fully locked and loaded for what lies ahead.
