Classy Armstrong and Kavanagh remain on course for minor double

Keith Armstrong, Daniel Kavanagh, Sean Kerr & Jack Campbell

This year’s All Ireland 40×20 minor doubles champions Keith Armstrong and Daniel Kavanagh remain on course to capture the softball equivalent after a convincing 21-15, 21-2 victory over Sean Kerr and Jack Campbell, Tyrone in the All Ireland 60×30 semi final played at St. Mary’s Wexford yesterday.

It took the Slaneysiders a while to assert their superiority in this match but when they did get on top they closed the door very quickly indeed on their Ulster opponents. They will know however that a higher intensity for the full match will be required in the final against Niall Joyce and Patrick Murphy, Mayo, but that is something they are eminently capable of.

That October 17th programme is now complete as follows;

Saturday 17th October in Abbeylara, Longford.

  • 12noon MD Final: Mayo (Niall Joyce/Patrick Murphy) v Wexford (Keith Armstrong/Daniel Kavanagh)
  • 1.00pm IS Final: Limerick (Paudi Quish) v Cavan (James Brady)
  • 2.00pm MSD Final: Kilkenny (M D Walsh/C Neary) v Dublin (E Kennedy/C Browne)
