Claire is up to junior C after winning performance

Claire Cousins, St. Mary's won the opening title of the 40x20 season when she defeated Ciara Parnell, Ballyhogue 21-7, 21-16 in the junior D singles final. Claire who had been beaten in the 2015 final is now promoted to the junior C grade. — Claire Cousins, St. Mary’s won the opening title of the 40×20 season when she defeated Ciara Parnell, Ballyhogue 21-7, 21-16 in the junior D singles final on Tuesday last. Ciara put up a brave fight in the second game before Claire edged through to claim the winners medal. It made up somewhat for her defeat in the 2015 final and her victory means she will play in the higher junior C grade next year.
