A big turnout is expected at Castlebridge Handball Club on Sunday next when the committee celebrates the launch of their newly upgraded playing and spectator facilities. Amongst those expected to attend are President of GAA Handball Ireland, Willie Roche along with the Vice President of Leinster Council, Tony Breen and Wexford GAA Handball Chairperson, Ricky Barron.

New dressing rooms and showers have been installed over the summer months and along with a revamp of the playing area and enhanced spectator facilities, the club can be justifiably proud of the finished product about to be unveiled on Sunday. It can also be viewed as a clear statement of intent by a club with a huge history of achievement and shows that instead of resting on their laurels they have chosen to build on them instead.

In addition to the aforementioned work done, the committee have also recognized the importance of hospitality towards visitors by installing a new kitchen so they can maintain the longstanding tradition of catering for those who travel from afar.

The end product of the work has resulted in a facility that is suitable for hosting the biggest games with the best players and with a large number of high achievers within, further local success cannot be far away either.

The relaunch will take place between 4pm and 6pm on Sunday and will feature games between a number of the young members of the club. It is an occasion to be celebrated by everybody with an interest in seeing the game prosper in Castlebridge and in Wexford.

An open invitation is extended to all handball people to attend.
