Written by Antoin Ó Braoin, Rúnaí Contae
Sunday next is a huge day for four young handballers of the county as they attempt to join the elite of the sport by winning All Ireland 60×30 titles at Talbots Inch, Kilkenny.
Anthony Butler, Ballyhogue took some time to establish himself as the best of his age group in the county, but having done so a couple of years ago he quickly set about raising the bar for himself by adopting a good attitude to training and learning the game. He has been a revelation in Leinster this season and he arrives at this stage of the championship in the form of his life.
He takes on Kavan O’Keeffe, Waterford in the boys under 15 singles final and carries with him the best wishes of his family and friends, his club and his county.
