After 445 matches the county 40×20 domestic season is drawing to a close in Wexford

The next 10 days will see the last action of what was has been a terrific 40×20 domestic season featuring 445 matches to date. The new style league format for the championships proved to be a resounding success, with the early start back on September 22nd allowing us to avoid clashes with provincial games and the January finish to the singles and doubles championships ensuring that those in intercounty action could organise their training and rests periods to suit their own particular requirement.

A number of additional new competitions were promoted during the 40×20 season including one for Legends of the Game, a 65 + aged event that created great interest around the county. Now the last three events of the season are down for decision with the semi finals and finals of the womens beginners singles and doubles competitions as well as the final of the junior BCD  team of 4 championship.
