Wexford Well Represented in All Ireland Softball Championships Semi Finals this Weekend

With Cliodhna O’Connell and Cora Doyle receiving a bye to the All Ireland Ladies Junior B Doubles Final, we have seven doubles pairings in action over the weekend hoping to reach their respective finals.

On Saturday the Templeudigan paiir of Noel Holohan and Micheal O’Neill travel to Cashel, Co. Tipperary in Masters B. A lomg trip awaits our O35A and Diamond Masters B pairings as they meet their Kerry counterparts in Ballymacelligot. Gavin Buggy and Paul Lambert contest the O35A doubles, while their club colleagues from St. Marys Nicky Casey and Ray Wicjham are our Diamond Masters B representatives. In Junior Doubles David Kenny and John Roche from Castlebridge travel to Broadford, Co. Limerick.

We have three semi finals at home with the Intermediate Doubles pair of Darren O’Toole (Coolgreany) and Malachy Whelan (Castlebridge) up against Tipperary in Coolgreany. Tony Breen (Templeudigan) and James Mythen (Castlebridge) start proceedings in Ballymitty against Cork, while local player Alan O’Neill and Mikey Murphy from Taghmon take on Waterford in the O35B doubles.
