Castlebridge club tournaments brings a wonderful season to a close
A fantastic afternoon of handball was had yesterday by all the finalists competing in the club tournaments. The event was organised to promote the club and encourage new members while including a fun and social element.
The beginners plate final was up first which seen brother v brother as Declan Flanagan (Club jersey sponsor) partnered Mick Mahon took on Colm Flanagan who was partnered by Liam Murphy. The winners were Colm/Liam and all four were presented with vouchers by Sponsor John Roche Landscaping.
The Beginners Final was also a family affair involving cousins this time as Keith Devereux and Dermot Mythen took on Joe Devereux and Mark Doyle. The winners were Joe/Mark and again all four were presented with vouchers by Sponsor Padraig Devereux Fitted Kitchens Ltd.
The last final of the day involved two of our top players as Barry Goff partnered by total beginner Mark Flood took on Terry Gainfort who was partnered by Chairman Tom Rossiter. The winners were Barry/Mark and all four men were presented with their vouchers by Sponsors John Bail School of Motoring and James Mythen.
The evening ended with a club photo shoot followed by refreshments and then all adjourned to the Porter House for members Christmas Party to end what has been a fantastic year for the club.
