Magnificent performance from Adam Walsh in Men’s C Singles adds to the Wexford tally in Minnesota

Wexford’s stock continued to rise at the World Handball Championships in Minnesota where Adam Walsh became the fifth player from the county to win a title when he defeated Myles Carroll, Kildare to bring home the Men’s C Singles gold medal. The young St. Josephs player had already been in action five times when he stepped on court to play the number 2 seed in the decider but he produced another top class performance to win very impressively on a scoreline of 21-16, 21-6, Amongst his earlier victims had been the number 1 seed and throughout the competition Adam never looked in danger of defeat.
