All Ireland 60×30 Success for Ballymitty Pair

Congratulations to Miley Byrne and Aidan Sinnott who travelled to Mullingar last Sunday and returned home as All Ireland 60×30 Diamond Masters B Doubles Champions. The Ballymitty pair had a comprehensive victory over their Mayo opponents.

Hard luck to Nicky Casey (St Marys) and Jimmy Mythen (Castlebridge) who narrowly lost their Emerald Masters B Doubles Final. This Final, also played in Mullingar, went the full distance. They got off to a great start winning the first game, but their Galway opponents came back strongly to take the second, and then held on in the third to take the title.

Commiserations to Gavin Buggy and John Roche who had a heartbreaking defeat in their Masters A Doubles Final played in Garryhill. This game went down to the wire with Gavin and John forging into a 19-12 lead in the deciding game, only for Tipperary to come storming back to take it 21-19.
