Wexford tops medal table at All Ireland Softball Singles Finals

Wexford topped the medals table at the All Ireland Softball Singles Finals last Sunday when all four players won their respective Finals. Congratulations to James Mythen (Emerald Masters B), Gavin Buggy (O35A), James Stanners (Masters B) and Tommy Hynes.(Silver Masters A).

Results were as follows:

• O35AS Wexford (Gavin Buggy) dft Galway (Ollie Conway) 21-7, 21-6
• MBS Wexford (James Stanners) dft Galway (Matt Kenny) 21-3, 21-6
• SMAS Wexford (Tommy Hynes) dft Mayo (Tom Sweeney) 21-3, 21-9
• EMBS Wexford (James Mythen) dft Galway (Brendan McNeela) 21-14, 21-6

While Tommy and Gavin have been here before, on more than one occasion, it was a first All Ireland title for the two James’ and an extra special day for both of them. All four players were always in control and ran out winners in two straight games.
