Massive comeback by Gavin Buggy and Dominick Lynch secures World over 35 doubles title in Minnesota

8-0 down in the tie break (to 11) and staring defeat straight in the face! That was where reigning world over 35 doubles champions Gavin Buggy, Wexford and Dominick Lynch, Kerry found themselves yesterday when they took on the top class American pairing Chris Tico and Emmett Peixoto in the 2018 final in Minnesota.  But in a remarkable turnaround the Wexford/Kerry combination fought back to claim a famous victory without conceding another point. The winning scoreline was 13-21, 21-18, 11-8 and it has to go down as one of the most dramatic finishes seen, at the most successful ever World Championship for Wexford. It was a second title for both players at the games, with Buggy having already banked the 40 and over singles and Lynch the 35 and over singles championships.
